One of the best financial apps I've ever used. I just love the company in general because of the generous rates, but the app is... *chef's kiss.* Extremely user-friendly, intuitive, and beautiful to boot. My only qualm is that since the connected accounts aren't updated in real-time, those balances are off often, so Wealthfront's calculation of net worth is usually wrong. But whatever, I don't really use that number for anything anyway, so it's all good.

Great service, exceptionally low fees, basic dashboard to keep all accounts together. Terrible UI for modern features. It's got categories, great, but not a way to lock them, or to sort them like a playlist, it just goes by amounts. And what's worse is users cannot directly deposit money into categories which becomes a nightmare when using it as a debit card.

Dadise Aleman

If you want to grow your money quickly while still being able to access it without penalty and deposit into it any time you want, this is it. Plus, there's so much more within the app for investing, setting up beneficiaries, and multiple account options to name a few things. It is very easy to use and understand. A+++

Wealthfront has one of the best interest rates out there, and they don't require a monthly minimum deposit to keep the high interest rates. So far they seem very customer friendly, the sign up process is a breeze, and the app is beautiful and simple to use. A+ for now fellas! Keep up the good work.

some of the account links dont work and it can take a long time or never getting updated to work. you can do manual, but having it automated is much better. Need to have a high balance to get digital checking. I do use it for a checking account, which is much better than standard bank checking. The debit card is nice.

Peter Leininger

It's setup is really easy and helpful. Something that caught me off guard was that the transfers take a day or two to be finalized and accounts updated, but at first I want sure if it had bugged out or calculated incorrectly. Just make sure that if you've never done this before, you're patient and wait a day or two after every move you make to let the numbers fully update. Otherwise, it's been a great way to get into investing.

this app and account is one of the better banking apps I have used. The UI and account management are very transparent. The fees are low, the interest rate is high, and it is easy to transfer funds into and out of the accounts. Don't expect a full-service banking experience though. It is better for day to day cash and expense management as compared to a central hub for all your banking needs.

Curtis Steinbacher

Large transfers can take a week or so to be available. Support is slow to respond. Wire transfers are only allowed for buying a home or to yourself. Despite this, I had a wire transfer to my own account denied even after showing a bank statement, a copy of my ID and a picture of myself. I don't mind the added security, but to be denied access to your own money is frustrating. Worst of all, there's no phone number anywhere to be found. So far, not a great start. Rates are good though.

Easy to use app, debit card is convinient since you can use it in many ATMs without paying, good APY for savings and investing options are good enough. App is user friendly. BUT... It should have transaction notifications for the checking account, due to this I don't rely on using my account nor the debit card that much.

One glaring gap is how it deals with investment properties. If I elect to sell a property it defaults to replacing the home with anticipated rental expenses. Selling multiple rentals results in tons of expenditures as each assumes I'll be renting for each property sold. It's hard to link (ID & PW) to life savings accounts. I can manually add account info but I can't, per account, show recurring $ added to accounts. I'll have to manually maintain balances. Trying for now. Good, but some gaps

Joangela

I just opened my account. The application process was a breeze. I plan to use it strictly for savings and investment learning. I have been enjoying setting up the categories and reoccurring funding. I will also be setting up some investment accounts. I love the UI w/ the app and website and they appear to be very transparent. I'm fairly new to investing and Wealthfront allows lower dollar requirements to get stated. I will give 5 ⭐ after more experience with Wealthfront.

The app is amazing, and the UI is clean and clutter free. I haven't had any problems transferring my money through different accounts or categories. My only real concern is how hard it is to find out categories exist and then figuring out how to use them. There is a little tip box about it but it's hard to spot. I only saw it after I watched a tutorial.

Erin Bryson

Very intuitive GUI! Info is easily accessible to help you understand where your funds are going and how they impact your overall plan. Even if you don't invest with Wealthfront, the ability to track your finances in one simple location makes the app worth it. Unfortunately, linked account update times vary depending on service. My T. Row Price connection is especially finicky. The app still provides a great overview, but be sure to cross-reference your accounts for more accuracy.

Alexander Uckun

Great concept, and no mishandling of my funds yet. However, the app has two bugs I have noticed so far. 1) Negative balances in loans are shown as positive on the balance screen and 2) Sometimes when linking external accounts, the process bounces back to the login screen without any notification. Then I have to return to the home screen to see a notification that the account needs extra verification. This bug makes adding accounts somewhat tedious.

Update after funding my account from a laptop: once set up the app is quite nice. Remaining annoyances: no obvious way of force refreshing external balances, no progress tracking and seemingly no learning for categorizing past transactions. ------- Can not complete setup as I can not link either of the two bank accounts I tried: when there are multiple modalities for two factor authentication (e.g., voice and text) one can not confirm the selection, the submit button stays grayed out.

Daniel Wollin

It was easy to set up the account and start the investing, but I removed a star because I think the interface could really use some work. I started a general investment fund but they treated it like a retirement account. I wanted to set a different withdrawal date and finally figured it out, but its not very intuitive. Also, I would love to see more stats, which stocks and bonds I'm invested in, how it does day to day, how much I've gained since inception, etc.

Jessica Rodriguez

App is convenient for depositing funds and seeing investment mixes and has a nice UI, but the account links are constantly down! My cc bill hasn't updated in a year, but other accounts I have through the same bank are up to date. I haven't been able to add my new institution for months. This means none of my projections are accurate, so it renders much of the app useless to me. I really liked the projection and goals features a few years ago. Might have to go web only.

A Google user

I gotta say, this app is pretty impressive. Now, I cannot say much about my experience with the investment service because I have just recently started using it. But definitely a good experience over the course of my first two weeks if you discount the mild frustration that came with getting my interest rate cut by .2 two days after I threw money into it... Oh well. Please introduce dark mode! It's basically mandatory at this point.

A Google user

Wealthfront has been doing nothing but good for me. I use it as a "hub" for most of my financial tracking, and the cherry on top is the interest we get from their checking account. Only issue I'm experiencing is the biometric unlock feature. I have a Pixel 4 XL and when trying to enable it, it only shows the fingerprint prompt but not the facial recognition prompt. Other than that, overall Wealthfront is among the best financial apps out there.

Rania Higgins

So far it's been very straightforward in managing my account, setting up transfers, etc. The app will show you estimated times on when transactions will be available or ready to view and there's lots of other features I have yet to utilize. This app is simply well-made and does what you need for banking, nothing more and nothing less! User interface inside the app is not too complicated and the organization is very delightful for me as a new user. Definitely recommend!
